LOL, she'd prefer I do the 2 inch lift and get the bad ass goodyear wrangler duratracs i wanted to get her. It got some lame/cheap BFG AT's, it was better than the balding/completely bald forteras that were on it.
I do with there were better grille guards available for it.

Pretty sure that one I saw this morning had a mild lift, too. Duratracs are a great tire, especially in winter conditions, but my FJC buddies say they wear kind of fast for a daily driver. Check out the Falken WildPeak A/T, seriously. And the Mopar Bumper Guard...

Okay, so it is kind of wimpy. Wasn't sure if you were after something aesthetically pleasing or truly functional. Not much out there for Commanders as you know. Other than going with a full bumper (ARB, anyone?), I guess the Aries guard in black (not the chrome) suits the shape of the vehicle up front best, but I can't speak for it's construction.
In an unrelated note I just took delivery of a Kaymar rear bumper for a friend's 80-Series Land Cruiser. Nice!
I'll post a pic when we get it mounted up.

yeah it's unfortunate how little support there is for the Commander, it's a pretty badass SUV imo.
I like that aries guard! She'll love the black she wants all details on it done in black, even wants me to black out the wheels on it.
That bumper looks BADASS btw.

Well good luck on the Commander and you're lucky to have such an enthusiastic wife!
That rear bumper is really rather pricey, but what price perfection, right? (lol) So far my friend's 80-Series (it's actually a 1997 Lexus LX450) has gone from soccer-ready to expedition-ready.
BTW, he's now running those Falken tires I mentioned, though specifically they are the version made for Discount Tire by Falken, branded as the 'Rocky Mountain ATS'.

Nice upgrades, I don't know why but I'm a huge fan of the "roof basket" vs normal racks. I have to say that's the best looking LX450 I've seen.
She's enthusiastic, but only about her Jeep lol. She'd rather me not spend any money at all on the Montego. But if it's for the Jeep...APPROVED. lol
